Holidays in Assam

The largest state in northeast India, Assam, holidays in Assam and its capital Guwahati were stretched on the picturesque coasts of the Brahmaputra River.

Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga Park is located on the southern coast of the Brahmaputras River and is one of the most well known parks of India, famous for that in it very rare kind of the Indian rhinoceros is kept. Not only the best representatives of flora, but also of birds present the rich fauna of the reserve.

The city Sibsagar was a capital of rulers known as the Ahoms. The city is constructed around of the artificial reservoir, which has been dug out more than 200 years ago. One of them – a Temple of Shiva, constructed in 1734, is the highest Hindus temple in the country. Haflong
At height of 680 meters above the sea level on the picturesque hilly district, the fine mountain resort is stretched on coast of lake. This city is unique in Assam. Haflong - the name came from the variety of the orchids, one of which is very rare, so-called Blue Vanda orchid.

Among the sights of this city are: Haflong Lake - a picturesque place in the centre of a mountain resort.
Jatinga, a small village, situated in 9 km from Haflong, attracted ornithologists from the entire world.
