From the all exotic birds, coming flying in Bharatpur, the most popular is the Siberian crane or the big white crane, who before to reach here, covers the distance exceeding half of the globe.
These birds, which number some hundreds, are on the verge of disappearance. They arrive in December and depart in the beginning of March
Earlier here was hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Bharatpur.
Various landscapes of the park -
channels, bogs, extensive grasslands and magnificent broad-leaved forests – are doing it a real " bird's paradise ". Walks on park on foot, by boats and by bicycles, during which from close distance it is possible to see a set of exotic birds - storks, ibises, cranes, eagles, falcons, owls, parrots, sparrows, etc. provide a huge pleasure.
